This notice explains how STAIRS Srl handles the personal data of the people who visit this site or write to us through it, under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).

Who is responsible

What we collect, and why

• What you send us. Name, email address and, if you fill them in, organisation and role, together with the text of your message. We use them for one purpose only: to answer you, and to carry on the conversation you started. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in replying to a request you made, and the steps taken at your request before any agreement.
• Technical logs. Our hosting provider records the usual technical data of a web request — IP address, time, page requested, browser — for security and to keep the service running. We do not use them to profile anyone.

Cookies and measurement

This site sets no profiling cookies and uses no advertising or analytics trackers. If a spam-protection widget is active on the contact form, it may set a technical cookie strictly necessary to tell a person from an automated script.

Who processes the data for us

• Cloudflare — hosting of the site and delivery of the pages.
• The email provider that delivers the message you send through the form to our mailbox.

These suppliers act as processors on our instructions. Where a transfer outside the European Economic Area takes place, it is covered by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep it

Messages and contact details are kept for twenty-four months from the last exchange, and then deleted, unless a business relationship has begun, in which case the applicable legal and accounting retention periods apply.

Your rights

You may ask us for access to your data, or for its correction, deletion, restriction or portability, and you may object to our processing of it. Write to us through the form and we will answer. You may also lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).

No automated decisions

We take no decision about you by automated means, and we do not profile visitors.
